2023 IBSA World Blind Games

The International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Games are coming to Birmingham.
The 2023 World Games is the largest high-level international event for athletes with visual impairment, with more than 1250 competitors from 70 nations. Due to take place from 18-27 August 2023, held at the University of Birmingham, across the Edgbaston and wider region.
The 2023 Games is being delivered through a stakeholder group of organisations, comprising British Blind Sport (the Host Federation), the University of Birmingham, Birmingham City Council, UK Sport, and MLS Contracts Ltd.
In addition the Games will be organised by event management company (MLS Contracts Ltd) with the legacy and volunteering opportunities delivered through Sport Birmingham and British Blind Sport.
The games, staged every four years are the pinnacle of the international sporting calendar outside the Paralympic Games.
With the 2023 games hosting three paralympic and seven non-paralympic sports; Archery, Chess, Cricket, Men’s Blind Football, Partially Sighted Football, Women’s Blind Football, Goalball (Male/Female), Judo, Powerlifting, Showdown, Ten Pin, Bowling and Tennis.
