Australian Men's and Women's Blind Cricket Team at the 2023 IBSA Games
Blind Cricket was held for the first time at the 2023 IBSA World Blind Games, and Australia will sent 2 teams to take part. The Australian Men’s team took a team of 17 players, under the coaching direction of Mechelle Hare.

The Australian Women’s team competed for the first time on the International stage, with a team of 14 women, under the coaching direction of Taylah Purton, forming the inaugural national side.
The Women’s team qualified to take part in the final against India at Edgbaston, but fell just short to take home the Silver Medal at the games. The Men’s team competed well, but did not qualify to play finals at the games.

Saturday 19th August – Australia 3/130 off 15.1 overs defeated England 2/128 off 20 overs.

Tuesday 22nd August – Australia def by England
Wednesday 23rd August – Australian def by India
Saturday 26th August – Final @ Edgbaston Cricket Ground – Australia made 8/144 from 20 overs but were defeated by India who made the revised target of 42 from within their 9 overs, after rain disrupted play. – Silver Medal Australia
