Non Executive Director Opportunities x 2

About Us

Blind Sports Australia (BSA) is a national sporting organisation for blind and vision impaired sport. BSA helps create pathways and opportunities for blind sports participation from grassroots community level, right up to elite competition at national and international level.

We work with our members and other organisations across Australia to grow sporting opportunities for people who are blind or have low vision. BSA is a not-for-profit organisation, a founding member of Paralympics Australia and the Australian Sporting Alliance for People with a Disability and is Australia’s representative to the International Blind Sports Federation.

The opportunity

Blind Sports Australia is led by a skills-based board of elected and appointed directors. The Board’s role encompasses the governance of the organisation and provides strategic leadership.

Blind Sports Australia strives to support and promote excellence in board service through the recruitment of qualified, experienced directors from diverse backgrounds.

We want members of the Blind Sports Australia Board to advocates for best practice, innovation, and fiscal responsibility across all key strategic imperatives. We want people who can question and challenge constructively, who bring diverse views, who can influence others and find solutions.

Blind Sports Australia are committed to a diverse and inclusive culture on our Board, in our organisation and in our sport. Director positions are voluntary. Board meetings are held every six to eight weeks online via Teams, with one to two face-to-face meetings per year to coincide with strategic planning, the AGM, or other important events.
